How do you make a local Swedish apple and pear cider stand out among international competitors? You ditch the mandatory apple and pear imagery and focus on amplifying the brand’s essence instead. The brand Lustgården, which translates to “The Garden of Eden”, exudes energy and freshness with its almost sinful, bold, and seductive approach.

The redesign of Lustgården had one clear mission: be disruptive. To achieve this, we stripped away the cluttered, cliché visuals associated with “The Garden of Eden” and the cider category in general. No pale pinks, no literal fruits, no birds of paradise. Instead, we embraced the “forbidden fruit” concept by breaking the rules – leaving the fruits off the can entirely. The can itself seduces with its name, taking centre stage in oversized, colourful, hippie-inspired typography. It’s a playful nod to an era of freedom and bold expression, wrapped in a fresh, naturally tasty package. Neon-bright colours create a striking contrast to the cider’s natural ingredients – this isn’t your ordinary local farmer’s cider. It’s crisp, fizzy, fruity, and unapologetically eye-grabbing.

Like Adam and Eve, these two cans mark the beginning of a whole new chapter for cider.
